Personal Server Hosting and My Day
Ok. I know blogging is the big new thing, and hey I get annoyed by it some times, but its nice to vent. Well I moved it over to my own server because I wanted the ability to control the site on a more code level. Also I wanted to be able to upload big files, and be a little more private. If you haven’t looked lately, mikwit.com has turned into a grave yard. Well, its more like a grave because only one thing died. Pinkfloyd.mikwit.com fell though when I didn’t have enough time to get all the lyrics into the database, I had big plans for midi files with that too, oh well. I’m thinking of redoing all of mikwit.com and splitting it into three or four sections.
- This Blog
- If it stays up long enough
- Trebuchets
- Yes this part of my life is pretty much over, but kids now-a-days seem to be all into that stuff more then they were when I was in grade school, so I’ll keep that sort of going, maybe even write up a very basic guide
- Programming
- This also is slowly fading from my life, but I did some stuff and its all in the database, so why not use it
- Pink Floyd
- This too is slowly fading from my life, but for different reasons then Trebuchets or Programming, but people like Pink Floyd, and there used to be some go to sites for PF, but I’m dedicated to making a high-tech low-key site, and this would be the place to do it
- Expect completed lyrics and some midis soon…
I’m very surprised how easy it was to make that list/outline. I wouldn’t make my AP Bio outline with this, but its very simple and works (Shift-Tab is a little slice of heaven)
Well, In general today was good, I had school, got out of 6th and 7th period to talk to some people from the “fan the flame” concert about doing sound, when all they really want me to do is spot light… Actually I do enjoy spot light a lot, when you actually get to move the blasted thing. Then I came home, went out to Jakes for Will Green’s going away party, That was fun. After that I came home, discovered that there is the band championship comp. that day, so I won’t do it. Oh well.
